About
Parker Livestock has been producing quality beef for over 40 years. Family owned and operated by Ted and Janet Parker and their two sons Gent and Carl Davis Parker.
Ted got his start borrowing money to buy 20 yearlings at age 18. Ten years later he bought his first farm. He and Janet have steadily grown the business along side their sons. Gent and Carl now own and operate their own companies, while continuing to work as managers at Parker Livestock.
Parker Livestock manages seven locations from Jackson to Green County, including two buying stations. One operating at the headquarters in Seminary and a second at Gumpond Farm in Lumberton.
Parker Livestock Buying Stations offer a way for producers to market their farm fresh calves and yearlings without having to pay commissions and fees.
Ted Parker is the proud recipient of numerous industry awards recognizing his contribution to the cattle industry including:
Covington County Cattleman of the Year in 2015
The National Stocker Cattle Award 2018
Mississippi Farmer of the Year Award 2019.
